Hook up

Hook up pode significar conectar algo ou “ficar” com alguém. Exemplos:

“The cables were hooked up the wrong way, that’s why the TV isn’t working.” (Os cabos estavam conectados errado, por isso que a TV não estava funcionando.)

“Mary and Peter hooked up during their trip to Argentina.” (Mary e Peter ficaram na viagem deles à Argentina.)
