Miss the mark

Miss the mark significa falhar, errar o ponto ou estar incorreto. Exemplos:

“Peter works really hard but sometimes he misses the mark.” (O Peter trabalha duro mas as vezes ele erra o ponto.)

“They are trying to improve but since they don’t have much experience they keep missing the mark.“ (Eles estão tentando melhorar, mas como eles não tem experiência eles continuam errando o ponto.)
