The elephant in the room

The elephant in the room é uma expressão que significa um problema grande que as pessoas fingem que não está presente, o elefante na sala. Exemplos:

“His behavior during last meeting is the elephant in the room now.” (O comportamento dele durante a última reunião é o elefante na sala agora.)

“The fact that the money was gone was the elephant in the room during the meeting.” (O fato do dinheiro ter sumido foi o elefante na sala durante a reunião.)
