Thrown in at the deep end

Thrown in at the deep end é um idiom que significa ser colocado(a) em uma situação difícil sem estar preparado(a). Exemplos:

“She is being thrown in at the deep end when she host the debate tonight.” (Ela está sendo colocada em uma posição muito difícil quando apresentar o debate hoje à noite.)
